Jet2.com, subsidiary of Dart Group PLC, has posted a profit during the 2009 tax year. Largely thanks to Jet2.com´s stronger trading performance, Dart Group has generated pre-tax profits of £28.8m (€31.7m).

Jet2.com has achieved this improvement in performance thanks to a reduction in seat capacity with the aim of matching supply with market demand, combined with a very good year for their passenger charter airline operations. Jet2.com will continue to focus its growth in the leisure sector of the airline market, together with its partner, Jet2holidays.com, a tour operator based in England. The group also plans to continue working closely with businesses in the travel sector so that its flights and holiday offers will be more accessible to all forms of distribution.
