On the 30th September, Cargill and Hojiblanca inaugurated the new Mercaóleo olive oil bottling plant in Antequera (Málaga).

For both companies, the aim of this joint venture is to become leaders in the world olive oil market, and the construction of the plant inaugurated on the 30th September is one of the first steps towards this goal. Designed with efficiency and cutting edge technology as precepts, this highly automated system has the capacity to bottle more than 100 million litres of olive oil every year. The plant will be bottling a whole range of high quality olive oils in a variety of sizes to meet the needs of customers globally.
The new bottling facility, which already has 20 employees, will create additional job opportunities for production, quality, logistical and financial specialists with proven experience in manufacturing.
SCR has dealt with the organisation of various event activities, from the distributing of invitations to employees from both companies, press and the authorities, to the logistical concerns of looking after guests coming from many European countries and the press that came from all across Spain.
